With over a decade of teaching and research experience across Australia and the United States, Dr. Renee Duncan specializes in curriculum design, educational technology, and online learning. She holds an Ed.D. in Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, an M.A. from New York University, and a B.A. from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music. Dr. Duncan has published in General Music Today and Teaching Music and has presented at state, national, and International conferences for organizations including the International Society for Music Education and the National Association for Music Education.

Dr. Duncan works with universities, departments, and individual educators to help streamline their online courses, digital workflows, and learn new technology tools to reduce stress and technology overwhelm. Her specialties include:

  • Course mapping and curriculum alignment

  • Online and hybrid course creation and learning sequence design

  • Assessment and feedback strategy development

  • Faculty training in technology-supported pedagogy

  • Translating disciplinary expertise into engaging digital learning environments

  • Streamlining digital workflows for sustainable, stress-free teaching

  • Google Workspace training and organization

Her approach is grounded in research and shaped by real classroom experience. Through her company, EdTech BFF, she partners with institutions and individual educators who want online learning that's well-designed, pedagogically sound, and built to last.
